From all of us here at the Miami County Communication Center (Miami County 9-1-1), welcome to our website. We thank you for taking the time to learn more about our department and its dedicated people. We hope you find the website helpful; in addition to providing information about the Miami County Communication Center, we have included links which we hope will assist you in obtaining local services (utilities, etc.), weather, traffic and travel conditions, and educational services regarding the use of 9-1-1.
Our 9-1-1 Telecommunicators and support staff strive to provide the highest quality voice and data communication services for the public safety and public service agencies serving the citizens of Miami County.
On February 8, 2007, the Miami County Emergency Notification System (MCENS) became fully operational. In the event of a significant emergency, weather event, or other catastrophe, citizens can be alerted by telephone with information and instructions. However, our telephone contact database is limited to publicly published wireline numbers only. We are encouraging anyone who would like to be included in the MCENS to click on the link “Emergency Notification Sign Up”, and enter your contact information. Your emergency notification sign up can include wireline telephones (traditional phone service), VoIP phone service, and/or wireless devices (cell phones, PDA, etc.); virtually any device as long as there is a ten digit telephone number assigned to it. You are not limited to the number of phone numbers you can enter for notification.
